4.0 Reports

4.1 Report Types

There are two methods to produce a report: a report on a single company from a list of one or more companies or a report on all the companies retrieved through a search. In each case there are three types of reports available:

  • the "Short Profile" gives the Company Name, Mailing Address, Telephone, Fax and Email for each company;
  • the "Complete Profile" gives all the information for each company;
  • for the "Custom Profile" you must select the information you want to include in the report and this information will appear for each company retrieved through a search.
 4.2 Consolidated Report

The "Consolidated Report" option will produce a report on all the companies retrieved through a search. In selecting "Consolidated Report" you will be asked to select one of the three types of reports described in 4.1 above.

 4.3 Save/Print Reports

Once the reports have been presented on the screen, you may print them or copy them to a file. In the latter case, the format you choose to save them to may depend on your browser and word processing software. Normally, just choose the "file" option on your browser and then the "save as" function. Save to a text file in the *.TXT format. If you do not use the suffix ".TXT" it may default to the "HTM" format which includes numerous extraneous codes. You may then retrieve the file with any standard word processor as a text file. This should provide you with a very readable output.

You may also print the file directly on your printer by selecting the print option on your browser. Note: If the file is particularly large, it may be too large for your printer buffer and cause your computer to crash. Saving large files to your hard drive may be preferable or breaking the job into smaller pieces.
