Business Opportunities

Match Profile: This is one of the main features of RFPSource. Constructing business opportunity Match Profiles based on those needs and wants alleviates time-consuming searches, and unwanted results
RFPSource enables clients to customize their profile by selecting:

  1. Any or all of the available feeds
  2. Choosing from an array of UNSPSC categories / sectors that define your company's mandate
  3. Searching with keywords
  4. Creating multiple Profiles for different business lines, divisions, etc.
The client can view what they have added to their profile instantaneously. All matched opportunities are emailed to the client on a daily basis, or if the client prefers can be viewed by logging into their personalized account.

New Matches: New matches consist of business opportunities the system has matched with the customized profile the client has tailor under the Match Profile.

When you view an opportunity, you will also have a chance to search for a partner for that specific opportunity by selecting the Partner link at the top of the opportunity. This will use the UNSPSC codes associated with that opportunity to find you potential partners from within the RFPSource database.

Matches Currently Open: RFPSource sends out notifications for open business opportunity matches and a reminder notice 7 days prior to the opportunity closing. Matches Currently Open is just that, business opportunities that are open and available to be pursued.

Closing Matches: These are business opportunities that will be closing, and need to be acted upon ASAP if the client is still interested in pursuing. The RFPSource email notification system will send out a reminder email for any previously matched opportunity that is closing in 7 days.

Leads Manager: This acts as an electronic filing cabinet for those business opportunities the client is interested in pursuing. When a client views the various business opportunities' synopsis (outline of the business opportunity), there is a red button at the top of the page called " save to leads manager". By clicking this button, the client can select which opportunity they would like to file away for future access.

Post Opportunities: This desirable feature allows the RFPSource client to advertise their needs for products and services or simply advertise what their company offers. These postings can be viewed within the Business-to-Business feed (B2B).

What will it do for me?
The posting of opportunities feature, which enables registrants to post opportunities for other registrants who are potential suppliers of goods and services, creates a Canadian business to business feed on RFPSource. For the posting firms, it will help in their search for goods and services from Canadian sellers. For the suppliers, it will identify a potential Canadian client ready to buy their goods and services. The posted opportunities are forwarded to all RFPSource registrants, as well as to members of other Internet contract opportunity networks, within 24 hours.

View My Posts: When posting opportunities within the B2B feed, clients can delete or modify their postings here.

Browse Opportunities: This feature is located in two different areas on the site, on the red left hand menu and at the top on the black menu bar. It can be accessed without entering a username and password, however; if the user wants to read the business opportunity synopsis, they must be logged in. The user or client can select any of our offered feeds and view the titles of all related business opportunity. As mentioned before, to view the synopsis, you must be logged in with a valid username and password.

Partnering

RFPSource will help you search for a business partner
Partnering makes it possible for you to work together with other companies, compete and win more contracts, increase profits and expand business. Cooperative partnership agreements are the most common type of business partnerships. They can help a business extend their skills inventory, marketing reach, distribution networks, financial resources and R&D capabilities

When you view an opportunity, you will also have a chance to search for a partner for that specific opportunity by selecting the Partner link at the top of the opportunity. This will use the UNSPSC codes associated with that opportunity to find you potential partners from within the RFPSource database.
